So, I didn't update the blog for ages because I wanted to include the awesome whale pictures that Mike took in Maui. Now it's six months later and I'm finally updating. Better late than never?
Now that I have those pictures posted, I can continue. Whew!
Here's that awesome photographer, with his gorgeous girls. Ignore Marisa's weird expression... it just happens sometimes....
We loved walking around Lahaina. It has a great beach town feel and lots of fun shops and galleries.
Up one of the alleys, we found a wonderful shave ice place. I don't know the name but I will remember it as the best in all of Hawaii. Marisa certainly seemed to enjoy it, too!
We loved the Banyan Tree Park. The whole place is under one incredibly big tree. We tree-huggers loved it!
Among the quirky things we saw, was this sea turtle made out of Crocs. Weird.
As a budding chef, Marisa likes to create her own meals sometimes. This was breakfast one day.
On our way to the airport, we had to stop for one more look at the whales. It was a beautiful pull-off and a great way to get our fill of whale-watching before heading back to Oahu. It was also a nice spot to finish off our milk and POG (that's Pineapple/Orange/Guava juice for non-Hawaii types!)
