So, we were in Hawaii.... now we're in Colorado.
We chose to move here because we've always wanted to be assigned here, but it never happened. What the army wouldn't give us, we provided for ourselves!
The girls and I arrived in July. We got ourselves moved into a two-bedroom apartment and registered for school. Mike joined us at the beginning of August and the epic job search began. To find something quick, we both applied for a bunch of "phony-baloney" jobs. I was the lucky recipient of a job in retail, courtesy of Wal-mart.
In December, we got tired of the small apartment and found a rental house. We were happily surrounded by all of our stuff by Christmas.
Mike started working in his new career on February 1st and I happily quit Wal-mart as soon as we knew he had landed the job.
In March, we added to our family with the arrival of Tutu from Hawaii. (That's grandma for all of you who don't speak Hawaiian.)
Now it's April and I have caught up the blog. I have thrust off the overwhelming cloak of guilt that was knit by relatives everywhere. Whew.
Now, let's see if I can rustle up a few pictures......
